Memory Studies Group

In 2018-19 we explored collective memory and historical studies; media, memory, and Shoah studies; and gender and postmemory. In 2019-20 we turned to (the future of) nostalgia, (left) melancholia, and new approaches to artistic forms of transgenerational remembrance. We invite all our UC Santa Barbara colleagues as well as friends from other universities interested in exploring the cultural, cognitive, and technological facets of memory and forgetting to join us.
